Just went underneath my 9000 to figure out why my rear mud flap fell off, and discovered a gaping rust hole on the fender lining where one of the mounting points used to be. The local body shop is going to love me.

Up in the Boston area, probably here for a while. I'll get it done properly; I want this car to last beyond when most people forget that Saab ever existed.

Well that's what the GM Saabs are for, since they're plastic!

In '85 I bought a new 85 1/2 Escort in Palmer, MA. In '93 I was driving home from work and I heard increasing road noise and the sound of sand/rocks falling off the car. I stopped and realized that the rear shock towers had rusted away. I had some metal welded in and sold the car just before moving away from western Mass.
